Very rare, Brand new never used original bmw e9 mechanical pump.

None of the aftermarket pumps work properly as their strike distance does not match an original pump, so if you car keeps stalling because not enough fuel is getting to the carbs then this will solve your problem.
Will fit CS 3.0 1968 to 1974.

I bought it from the famous De Quincey 2 years ago but never ended up using it.

$450 usd

That is a later replacement pump and I am sure it will work but there are other pumps that work just as well for much less, sorry you paid so much for it though.

I need one of the gaskets if anyone has a spare. Mine didn't come with one (let alone 2). I have a spare pump I keep with the car. I thought you only needed one gasket. Do you need two? Looked all over a while back online and couldn't find one sold separately. Don't want to pull my old one off to make one either if I can buy the correct one, correct material etc. Sorry to hi-jack thread, just reminded me I still need one of those suckers (maybe 2). GLWS.

I have tried all the brands of the Replacement pumps and none of them worked properly.
When I found that Dequincey was selling these original pumps I got two of them, used one which completely solved my fuel stalling issues and I’m left with this one after selling my e9.

Chris, I had problem with one of those replacement pumps and it was Pierburg. I have heard others have as well.
It's something about the stroke length. If you hold it in your hand and pump it with fuel lines hooked up it is great.
Put it on the motor and does not pump enough gas.
I cut the thickness of the mounting bushing about in half and that solved the problem until I rebuilt and went to Webers with electric pump.
Just saying my experience.

hey, I was blaming my Pierburg replacement for a while, then discovered hard starting was linked to my Coupe not driven often enough and the fuel would drain all the way back into gas tank. After I installed check valve closer to carbs, all the problems went away. Not fuel pump at all. Hope you find resolution. Regards to Danny D. Are those cashews or pistachios? Mike

All I know is that original mechanical brand new pumps are normally unobtanium but I have one.
The right person who will appreciate the value in what I have will come one day, I’m in no hurry to sell it quickly as a diamond will only increase in price with time.
