If you have been waiting for something special for your coupe or other vintage BMW this extremely rare and beautiful NOS Zimber wood steering wheel may be of interest to you. Shown here with an original Petri Horn Button, I am including two hubs in the sale, the one it came with I am not sure what make it’s for but I will include an e9/02 hub. The PCD is the same as Momo, so it will fit any Momo hub, but it will take a little maneuvering to get the horn ring secure as it attaches from behind, I think it will just take some shorter hub screws. The wheel is 400mm, unused and in mint condition. The history on Zimber is it is a German company, which was established before the 2nd WW in South Germany. From what I was told the owner bought a 300 SL gullwing in 1954, which sparked his interest in automotive pieces. Zimber at that time made wood pieces for guns, then later for automotive needs such as steering wheels. They made some pretty badass wheels that apparently were used in period NK race cars.

I see it a lot where prices never make the sale thread. I want to know how much something is or has been sold for so I know for future reference.

It’s the policy of this forum that for sale ads do not have to post a price. Honestly I don’t like it either.

You don't like it but you chose to post without a price.

I wont buy from a seller that can't publish their price. personal choice but it's how I support my opinion that it should be public info. I want to know before I waste the sellers or my time with messages. plus, I have a pile of parts and I have sold things for years, the best way to price those things is to find out how much someone else sold them for.
I'm trying to be diplomatic, but it's a huge frustration for me.

I will just say this, I post my prices everywhere else I post items for sale.

I always like @JohnP_02 ads, because he has cool stuff. I think he’s diplomatically saying he has a reason not to list a price on this one item, & he’d like to keep that to himself. I’m sympathetic to what you’re saying, and, whether intentional or not, I also don’t pay as much attention to unpriced ads. But it isn’t my property to sell, and most deserve the benefit of the doubt.

To me, the goal is to get as many parts listed as possible b/c of scarcity to help folks preserving/restoring E9/E3 cars. Serving as a price-setting resource for sellers (and buyers) is a secondary benefit. Just my $.02, though.

cool. I havent seen anything else youve sold, but I wasn't looking for them. sorry to hijack, I know this item is sold. normally I keep it to myself and my gripe was in general for sellers who dont post prices, even though it was on your thread- it wasnt directed at you personally.

As a 10 year moderator on Craigslist- I’m the guy who removes ads that violate the posting rules. When I see a prohibited auction or an ad missing a price or a deceptive price- I remove it. The guideline is “Please specify fee amount in your posting”

Fortunately this isn’t craigslist and the audience and contributors act like adults 99% of the time. I greatly appreciate Dan’s approach to site moderation. The classefieds are very loose. You are free to conceal a sale price. Non-buyers are free to comment on that decision. Non-owners are free to post ads. Vendors are free to post ads. Commenters are free to provide feedback on site participation and contribution. The balance works out well.

We have a good market here, with good sellers and serious buyers that act quick. So far as I have seen, the guidelines and overall philosophy works exceptionally well, and I commend @dang for a job well done with this place.

I generally don’t comment on unlisted prices. If I see something that is priced outrageously I will comment. That comment comes with an understanding and/or an example of fair market value, not sentiment on what I paid 8+ years ago.
