Making our move to Portland via a southernly route, stopped in Nashville to visit friends and my favorite auto museum. Sadly their Ceylon E3 is in storage. They have awesome stuff. Currently in Santa Fe will be making a right in LA on Tuesday.

Nice pictures. I see few Tatras from Czech Republic. These were very modern cars including the truck from comunism time (Czechoslovakia)

Several models (especially the heaviest one) have had a frame combined with drivetrain:

Tatra 603 was equipped with V8 engine at the rear. Car was available only for comunism companies and dygnitaries.

As you may know, Ferdinand Porsche was born in Czech Republic city Vratislavice nad Nisą (Maffersdorf) but he changed his nationality to German in 1935.

I saw one of those amazing Citroën car carriers at the Retromobile show with an hot rod SM on the back. Such cool vehicles!

I’m a big Hans Ludwinka fan. Aerodynamic Tatras with rear mounted air cooled V8s! Mr. Porsche “borrowed” greatly from early Tatras..

If I'm not mistaken Porsche paid even Tatra's some money due to patent infringement.

Great thread.
Yes Ferdinand's allegiances were pretty fluid going from Austro-Hungary, to Czech, to German, to War Criminal, to French working on Renaults, back to West German. If he lived on he may be developing E-cars for BYD and keeping his holdings in Panama.

Trivia for HBChris, did Tatra cars have Czech Engine lights?

For sure Tatras have no "710" cap in the engine bay

and that sound

Arde, thanks for the pun. Too long to repeat but there is an old joke about, "The Czech is in the male."
