Hi all,

I have no idea if this has been discussed already here but since I’m rebuilding my coupe I order from time to time some bolts and nuts from BMW. The point is that for some of them you need to order at least per 10. That can go quit rapidly run into a lot of money given the price of certain individual bolts and nuts from our friends in München.

I bought my coupe with just 30/40% of the parts and it therefore misses quit some original bolts and nuts. Per piece it’s just little money, and I don’t know if there is real demand from our members but given the fact that some are NLA or come in at least 10 or more maybe a suggestion to open a separate page for this or something, just thinking out loud. Any thoughts here or am I the only one?

Buy from Belmetric. There is a 9 page spreadsheet of every size screw and bolt in the car in the FAQ. Exactly where I don't recall but someone will chime in. I sat down with the list and the Belmetric website and ordered nearly everything smaller than M8 with washers, nuts etc. for every size. For every length. Either 25,50 or 100 of each. It's just so much easier to go to the organizer and pick out new hardware. I did plate every nut and bolt that came off the car and have that in reserve. But most parts are not perfect and I lose no sleep over having the wrong markings on the bolt heads. I know that future builds will also be easier because of my stock. I hate stopping what I am doing and waiting for hardware. Normally I prep every part or sub assembly and bag with the new and old hardware. I did all of this when the car went to the body shop. When it returns I have an entire car of prepped and organized parts. It makes assembly so enjoyable.

there are a few errors in my bolt / nut / screw / washer post in the FAQ. its mostly correct, but there are a few errors. i have found some of them while putting my car back together ... but its a good start. i totally agree with @Rudy3.0CS - i buy from Belmetric

That list is so amazing, who cares if there are errors? What's the downside? You have extra bolts in the drawer? I had fun ordering and organizing the entire haul of hardware. I am ready to build.
Super appreciative of the effort.
