3.5L, no reflectors, nice wood. Worthy of a pic request email at least!

"small blemishes" == rust bubbles I bet.

Still, definitely worth a look. Especially w/the nice 3.5/5-speed upgrades and nice color.

;)

"Let the games begin". Come on, guys.

2016. Any chance of shifting the paradigm from ripping on ads to....?

Here is a topic: Jochen Neerpasch had at his disposal a Golf CSL; where is it now?

Some guy using his grandma's spatula and bondo on his strut towers shouldn't interest us so much. That is not a long term interest...maybe 5 days. Where is the Golf CSL that Neerpasch had at his disposal?

Well... I didn't mean it that way. For me, the "game" is finding cars (and parts) whether I need them or not. I enjoy the hunt and appreciate hearing about sales that I helped facilitate. We've just had a dry spell this last couple of weeks.

I do agree that this group has a tendency to be critical. My coupe is a POS and even I point out minor flaws. :)

That's a question for BMWPete, if anyone would know it's him.

I probably come across as some kind of sociopath. Judging by our Christmas cards (OK, most were addressed to my wife), I don't believe it's true. My high school guidance counselor (OK, I am a sociopath..I hated that woman) told me that I was a follower and not a leader. I'll agree but I am an observant follower. Here's an observation: Not too long ago I was cruising on the Autobahn on an unrestricted stretch as a passenger in a CSI. 200KMH and my wife was in the back and didn't even notice. This guy driving knows his "scheisse" about these cars, Alpina, E3, E10, E12,E28, E34, GS Tuning, Hartge, everything. "So, ****** do you ever go on the USA E9 site?" His reply, "I would be afraid to own this car if I did".

I am stupid about these cars and I know there is a lot of knowledge out there to draw from and hopefully, in turn, reciprocate. There are some very knowledgeable contributors on this site who are very generous and we know who they are. Amateurs and pros. There is more out there, like what my pal who can make 195/70 14 XWXs beg for mercy on an off ramp in Shorndorf can offer if we can not claim he is trying to hide rust and rip us off.

Well, I for one am delighted that the motor has been changed. I can't imagine anyone wanting a '4 speed motor'.

Attention to detail in the ad may be similar to attention to detail in owning the car. I'd want a PPI before I even made the 130 mile trip to see it! Just my take on the ad and the detail in prose and pictures.

AC is no big deal for me, but It is nice on those hot Summer days in Los Angeles. I do like the engine upgrades. The seller is going to take better photos this weekend. So we will see.

Digixjairo,

You should be aware that this one doesn't have factory A/C. Not sure if that is a deal breaker for you or not still.
