Despite the snow on the ground, Spring in the Northeast is right around the corner.

Len S and I have been tossing around the idea of coordinating a gathering of coupe owners located in the tri-state area. (Yes Tod you're invited!!)

Before we start to discuss dates/location we wanted to throw out the idea on the board to gauge if there is any interest. Please let us know your interest in such an event and any other ideas you might have with regards to this potential gathering.

Spring

Thanks for thinking of me, Michael.

20 degrees here and a still foot of snow on the ground from Sunday no less. Coupe is still in storage with Mario until 4/1ish.

Dying to hear from Chuck about the new carbs!

Keep me posted on timing.

Hey Tod,

Drove the coupe for a whopping 5 hours, over 2 days, before it went back into storage, ahead of the bad weather....but,

thus far I'm intoxicated with the 38/38 webbers, better low end quickness and low end power. The short shift is pleasantly smooth, while affording tighter shifting.

Thanks to you Tod, I'm now thinking I better counter my impulses by considering more insurance....or finding some track time :))

Chuck

I would love to join you guys. I got my coupe in December but it won't be road worthy before mid-summer. Seized motor from sittung for 10 years. Picked a spare m30 long block just incase.

Can I sneak in with an e3?

OK, looks good for maybe half a dozen cars when the snow and salt are gone. Next question: where?

could be the engineer in me... but the diplomatic way is to plot on a map where folks are and find a reasonable central location and arrange a fun drive circuit

the entrepreneur in me says the core team in the tri-state area took the initiative to suggest a cruise, so you guys should arrange what suits you and leave it up to the rest to see if they can join.

I am in downtown Boston, and no-one likes driving within 50miles of the Boston potholes and mad-drivers

I guess we have to decide whether this outing turns into a trek, meaning more than just tens of miles and maybe necessitating an overnight stay. I'm not adverse to that, but it would mean, speaking for myself, scheduling the right weekend.

On the other hand, we can take a page from past DelVal Rallies: approx. 75 to 100 mile drive to meeting location (to include as many as possible), spend an hour or so before and after lunch driving along a yet-to-be-determined route, then parting ways...

Englewood? Andrew, we should hook up after you get the car out of storage.
