In the white books there appears to be a U-shaped, black, plastic liner at the rear of the sunroof. In fact it has the same part number as the black, plastic, U-shaped seals that go under the outer chrome outside the door window and rear quarter lights.
When I took my sunroof out (as the car was to be repainted) I didn´t see that familiar part anywhere on the sunroof (on a car which had never had its sunroof taken out before).
Same part number as the seals between the body and the CSL wheel arch extenders.
Thankful for any input here....

This mystery is easily solved! The U-shaped rubber liner is not fitted to any part of the sunroof panel but it is fitted to the inside roof opening. The rubber strip is lined completely around the sunroof aperture, then the headliner is wrapped and glued over it, thereby concealing the rubber liner fitment.
