No doubt some of you will know that Colin McRea was killed in his helicopter on Saturday along with his 5 year old son, his son's 6 year old friend and the friend's father aged 37
THe crash occured in Lanarkshire near the family home.
This is a great loss to the rallying world and motorsport in general. He will be missed.
The McRea Stages are the last round in the Scottish Rally Championship www.scottishrallychampionship.co.uk based in Perth on the 29th September.
This event is supported by the whole family and Jimmy (Colins Dad) , Colin and Alistair always attended and had a word with every compeditor, me included.

I apologise, the gentleman was not the father of the 6 year old who died but an old friend of Colin's, they had been at school together.
