I got a new battery for my '71 CS and noticed this sticker as I was installing the battery. Anyone else have this? Is it ok to leave a battery tender without unhooking the negative cable? Thanks, Bill

Sorry I don't know about the battery, but I have that Inspektin sticker also, it's very rare!

You can connect a trickle charger/battery tender to the battery with the ground connected. I would presume the sticker has to do with high amperage chargers that might overpower your electrical system. By disconnecting the ground of the battery you float the charger on the positive terminal, and the ground terminal can go negative with respect to chassis ground.

Right, for a trickle charger it's ok to leave the neg. cable connected. It's not as efficient though as having it disconnected.

Easy to just install one of these:
