Older lady has over 500,000 miles on her Comet, great story

Oh yeah. My folks had a '65 Comet wagon with the 289 motor, no AC. Great car and took us lots of places, sold after 15 years with more than 120Kmiles. I was out of the house by then and didn't see the eventual miles, but that car was solid all the way.

No BMW, though...

Think Blumax will catch her?
Yea I was going to Email the link to Murray .I thought he would get a kick out of it.I loved the fact that she said she couldn't keep it under 55 mph and said she had actually taken it up to 120 mph.You have to watch a little short add before the actual video comes up,but worth it.Lifetime warranty on the car and she has owned it almost 50 years.

Will BLUMAX catch her?

I doubt it--sorry to concede--but she has me by almost 160,000 miles now and is only 9 years older--so--unless I can drive about 20,000 per year in the BLUMAX--little chance of catching that lady as it appears she will be around another decade to easily have 600,000 miles in her Mercury Comet.

Can we take turns to drive your car and get you there faster?

Driving Mr BLUMAX--great idea!

We'll have a drawing at the BMW Concours on Friday the 13th to select volunteers--one for each month until we catch that "Little Bird" in her Comet--and we'll challenge her to a drag race for "pinks" as well!!

I hope the stress of the loss of her best friend won't bring on a heart attack--but who knows?

How's that for a plan of attack?
Volunteers--please list names, driving qualifications and contact info.

See you in Monterey--eerrr Carmel Valley--La Canada golf course.
