Opinions wanted.... Regional Forums?

Is there any interest in having a Regional Forums section on the forum? Like other forums, we could break up the regions into six or so and events could be posted there. That would make it easier to "Subscribe" to a forum and be notified whenever a new topic is posted.

There are times when a small group of coupe owners plan a local drive, breakfast, lunch, etc. If they posted the topic to a regional forum, any user that subscribes to that forum could get email notifications to make sure they didn't miss out on the fun.

i like the idea ... it would be easy to consider the SE corner - florida, georgia, south / north carolina ... alabama, mississippi tennessee and maybe louisiana (or at least New Orleans as its on our side of the mississippi river - besides, we want to claim steve armstrong) into a region.

I am backing a southeastern US group myself. And I would claim Steve as well to be in that group.

DQ, sorry we did not connect in Bilbao a few years back, but there will be a next time. That museum was amazing, so I will be back. This summer the family vaca is to California, but in 2016 we may be back to Spain.

Regional forums is a good idea, it's the way the CCA does it. Should include UK, Europe, Australia etc. as DeQ suggested.

Believe it or not, BMW CCA include Canada, we have several Canadians from Quebec to Cape Breton Island included in the Pine Tree Chapter.

Oops, I guess I did leave out the rest of the world. If you guys thinks its worth trying I'll add whatever you guys want. If its a flop, we can remove it later since most of the info will get "old"...
