optima battery

So which optima battery works best on an e9 coupe - mounted in the standard location?

Mine is the Canadian branded MotorMaster Eliminator purchased at Canadian Tire. Product number 10-7590-8 690 amp dimensions...7'' W X 9'' L X 7.5'' H For sure lighter than the standard lead acid and no worries about any more corrosion to the tray.

thanks Pamp - i also just found that the answer for the US is 34R. which was the same size i had in my e30 M3. amazon has them for $158, but i will check the normal places as well.

I researched batteries and ended up with a Bosch sized for my coupe. It looks more like the original Varta battery and was $110 with the old core from, don't laugh, Pepboys.

Even an Interstate battery with the sticker peeled off looks at home in there.

DO NOT ORDER AN OPTIMA BATTERY FROM AMAZON.COM
Or any other auto battery.
Read the feedback on the Amazon.com site and you find that the batteries are shipped with NO damage security packaging and Optima will not honor the warranty!!!
Optima batteries should be purchased local to you for warranty
Found this out last week when I was also contemplating purchase.
