Saw this in my gym parking lot last friday. License plate said NART. Tell you the truth it looked like a fiberglass kit car, it did have Ferrari gauges, and Borrani's I think, but the seats were cheesy, and the shifter gate was def not Ferrari. Also the wood wheel did not look like a Ferrari/Nardi type.

Anybody know what it is? Sorry for the bad cell phone photo with a lot of sun glare.

My guess would be a kit car, the targa-like rollbar does not look Ferrari. NART refers to the North American Racing Team which was formed by a Ferrari dealer to promote the cars. there was a 1967 275 GTB/4 NART Spyder - but there were only 10 made.

Here is a real NART:

A 1967 Ferrari 275GTS/4 NART Spider sold in 2005 for $3,960,000. Anybody that could afford that wouldn't go to a gym, they would pay somebody to execise for them.

It reminds me of the Ferrari 330GT Fantuzzi, especially the treatment of the "wing" structure behind the seats. I can't tell if your photo shows the 3-4 slots behind the front fenders or the 2-3 slots behind the rear quarter panels. Was the dash all winkle black with black pleated seats?

The GT Fantuzzi also did not have the chrome trim around the sides and top of the windshield.

TheFerrari GT Fantuzzi was restored many years ago at the end of the mid 80s collector car speculation rush. It was listed for multi millions at around 1990.

The wheelbase is too long, and the 250 LM rear treatment says kit car.

Maybe a Corvette frame, like the Daytona kits?

Its interesting that even a well thought of studio can miss with a design. Why did the owner/seller decide to park it out in the drizzle to get photos?- Paul
