Thanks, I also like the original style wheels but do wish they were 16s.I like the wheel choice. You see far more various "turbine" styles now than these beautiful stock wheels.
Scott,i think the original wheels look sooooo good (perhaps the best) on the atlantik / nacht blue coupes. you have done very well with this 2800cs ... so much improvement to when i first saw it at EuroFed in Chamblee.
The early E9 stock wheels look similar to the Chromodora wheels on the Dino, but they are made by FPS (some by Mahle) not Chromodora.Love the wheels too, did you know that the company that made those wheels (Cromadora) made the same wheels for FERRARI? look at the Dino model and you'll see what i mean. I for one prefer those on my E9 than any other model out there.
A nice conversation on this forum about 14 inch rims:Thanks, I also like the original style wheels but do wish they were 16s.
One treadwear-ratings point is equivalent to approximately 200 miles of driving. Thus, a tire with a treadwear rating of 100 should get 20,000 miles.
The ratings also showed all tire companies had good and poor...
They are certainly very similar. The biggest difference is 6 slots on the Chromodora and 5 on the FPSGood to Know, thanks for the info Dick, really though that it is the same wheel. You must admit the resemblance is uncany.
