Can anyone identify the part number for this small oval armrest piece that sits between the armrest and the door card? I've looked through realoem and can't find it. Anyone have a spare they want to sell me?

I've been wondering the same thing and can't find any on the coupes - I think they are for e3's

From an E3, eh?

Another case of "how the hell did this piece from an E3 wind up on the car I've owned for 25 years?" Oh that's rich.

Thanks so much folks for solving the mystery.

Picasso ear

There is a piece on the E9
It is more ear shaped and goes between the top of the armrest and the wood trim/door card (it actually touches both)
The coupe king has a barrel of them in tan and blue. Sadly I need the right side in red.
I have a blue one imcan swap :)

My E9 was originally Polaris with a navy velour interior (as so many gray-market CSis were). After I had it repainted Signal Red (most people think it's Verona) in 1988, I happened into a '75 CS that came over from Saudi Arabia that had a tan leather interior. I swapped interiors and sold the '75. So the seats, door cards, and these handles all came from the '75. which doesn't explain it either...
