Over size pistons?.

Can any one tell me if these are over size? If so what are they?

ok, 89.9..mm where pretty standard in ti & tii 2002, that was my first thought.
In that case pistons might be from 3.2 csl engine 3,153cc
 
As far as I know it’s a std 1973 motor same numbers as chassis. Owned by my father since 1980 been in storage since late 80s engine had some work high lift cam by previous owner who had another band new engine fitted while his was being worked on. As far as dad knew it was having a head gasket replaced and fitting a high lift cam. Money was no object so fitted the new motor so he could keep using the car?.
Dad passed last year so I can’t ask anything. I also have the other motor but it was left outside for a few years so no good now.
 
Rings are available from W&N.
Pistons are NLA but as previously posted oversize pistons for a 2002 are an option.
You can also get them custom made as another UK CSL owner has done. There's a thread on here somewhere.

Funny I was only looking through your project only yesterday
 
If i remember correctly, i compared side to side e9 piano vs e10 piano pistons couple years ago - e10 2002 pistons had couple mm difference in height of push rods mounts location, so in general they will change the stroke, so might be not the best option for e9.

you cant get new pistons oversize - i had them made and they are cheaper than buying a set off the net if you can find them..
the company has drawing for them so you just need to tell them what size you want
i paid £360 plus vat last year for al 6 - i also got the skirts to the piston coated -- these are the guys
