if you look on the bottom left where the fuel lines make the turn at the front -
you will see next to it, the bottom of the body panel.
there is a lip there that over time gets all bent upwards due to hits
or jacking in the wrong place.
you can take a set of vice grips and a hammer and straighten it out
it collects a ton of dirt and tends to start the body rust.
clean w. wire brush and spray w/ rustoeluem flat black
it will stop the preceding rocker panel rust.

i am talking about the continuous body lip- that is at from center to 4:00 in the pic above
it runs the length of the car on both sides.

You mean the seam of the *rocker panel? I also thought you meant the 5" front 'flap'. The front flap is a problem area on my CSI. The previous owner should has used rustoleum paint.

this is the long very small lip at the bottom of the length of the bottom side of the car where the jack indentations go
in your pic at the very bottom- not really shown there
