Just added, take a look

Cool, so none of the colors available for 3.0cs through 1973 were deleted, only those added? For example I don't htink I've ever seen an Inka 74?

Not deleted although some were, no Agave 74, mostly Just 3.0CS specific. Obviously Chamonix, Polaris, Fjord and others remained.

agave was not available on the '74 - substitution was jade?
ceylon was not available in '74 - the substitution was siena.
was tundra available in '74?

i was under the impression that inka + golf were available on the 2800cs as there were on early carbed CSL ... or am i incorrect.

Early CSL are 3.0, privateers raced 2800s. I’ve never seen Tundra on a 3.0, but I used what was in the book, I’ve never seen an Inka or Golf 2800 either. Agave was not a 74 color, I don’t know what ended in 74, just what was added.

good point, i was thinking the carb cars were 2800 numbers as i knew that privateers raced 2800s. tundra definitely a 3.0 color - Keshav has a CSL and your buddy in Colorado sold one about the time i bought my coupe.

I have been digging around the net for exceptions to the rule. There are some exceptions that are likely legit. Of all of the overlaps, a Tundra 3.0 seems the most likely. I’ll submit a VIN or two if I an’t find a printed certificate for one of the Tundra examples.

I didn’t find an Inka or Golf (original) 2800CS. I found several Colorado.

I didn’t find a Granada 3.0.

There is at least one legit Bristol 3.0

@HB Chris ,

When we add the colors, we should consider direct sun and shade. Makes a big difference with the metallics. We can’t all live in California.

Hi Folks,

I have created a post for each color. If you feel like your paint is true to the original, and a fine example, please feel free to respond here with a photo. I will add it to the color.

Call out to @zinz for Granada. @JayWltrs for Jade. @Willem Tell for Turkis, @Tone for Granatrot, @HB Chris for Malaga, @Stan for Chimonix, @ccr2002 for Ceylon. I'll let everyone else figure out the rest! :D

I have never seen a Florida E9. I can confirm that in addition to the parts book, the color is shown as an option in the 1969 and 1970 2800CS brochure.

So far most every Tundra CS that I have found has evidence of a respray. I’m going to send a few VIN’s to BMW, including a CSI.
