What is the best way to find the true color of Polaris Metallic? I have the code (060) and have seen the coupe colors on the registry site, but obviously there is know way of knowing the true color by an online pic. Do paint companies have record of these older BMW codes to be able to match exactly? How close does the the present BMW Titanium Silver match polaris metallic? or what present BMW color comes close?

any big company(Standox,Dupont,etc)know the code 060.

tell them what you need,and they provide it .

Mine is Standox - matches the original 100 %.

pAINT COLOR MATCH--SOMETIMES NECESSARY

To have it professionally "skanned" to do correct color match if trying to match paint on the car. Otherwise take your car to a reputable automotive paint store and have their "color match specialist" do the matching--otherwise all of the major companies mentioned including PPG can and will provide good match of original color if re-doing the entire car.
