Got a set of tan Weathertech floormats would prefer them to be black.Any suggestions on prepping and paints or dyes?

When I changed my interior from the navy blue to black/gray I used "SEM color coat".
It is for vinyl and carpet.
Use the"SEM vinyl prep" also.
I changed the carpets and pads, plus the seat belt webbing.
Came out great and the colors now match.

Not to sound negative, but I doubt that any paint would hold up for very long on floormats. Unless you always drive barefoot.
The grit on the soles of your shoes will quickly wear off the black paint on the tops of the floormat's ribs, allowing the tan material to show through.

Agreed that wear will occur--but easy to re-shoot and return to desired black color--working with vinyl paint is very easy.
