part number help

i need to get the rubber seal that runs on top of the firewall in the engine compartment. this is the one that has the jog at both sides of the engine compartment. looking at the realoem section 41/15 its hard to tell which is which - i presume that number 17 is the one that runs along the edge of hood near the base of the windshield and number 18 is the one that i need ... is this correct?

2nd part of the question ... is the seal that i need the one that was changed from the original ... that is hard to jog the bends?

Yes on both questions. I need this seal also, I keep glueing mine back together because I hear the new ones don't fit.

by chance is this the new gasket? seems like i got this from Stan a while ago, and i could never figure out where it went. if not, anybody know where this one goes?

I don't think that is the gasket you're looking for. No idea what it fits. :|

i ordered a new one from tomkinson today. i will post a pic of the new one when i get it.

i went onto tomkinson's part website today ... and its back to the way we are used to seeing it, no longer redirected to that other site

I believe the one you need is the latter of the part numbers . I've just received the former and mine is the seal immediately in front of the wipers . Maybe Google your part number under "images" as this may assist to clarify/confirm . Cheers, Simon
