RealOem shows the inner felt fuzzy strips available for 146.20 each

Maximillian does not show them available as I called and are waiting on more research by them.

Looking at the photo i have added showing the felt fuzzy strip attached to the inner molding with rivets. Also in the picture is an old felt piece removed from the outside chrome molding. This is the piece that sits between the outer chrome molding and the rubber squeezee. The two pieces look identical and was wondering if the outer piece could work on the opposite inner side. So if the inner fuzzys are still available it does look like the left inner could be used on the right outer and vice versa.

Anyone ever do this.

The part number for the unavailable outer fuzzys are
51367740130 left
51367740131 right

Thanks

Here are the part numbers I settled on. Turned out ok but not show quality. Two pieces, one rubber strip and one Felt strip sandwiched on then riveted.
Pics are midway through the process before I trimmed them.

Maximillian has verified all 4 part numbers an NLA from BMW. So we can assume any out there are new old stock still around or repros.

I did remove the inner fuzzy from the molding and compared it to the outer fuzz in the photo, they seem identical. The inner one fit in the outer rubber squeezee perfectly, but of course the rivet holes don't line up.

We are going to strip and recover one of them and see how it comes out. We will post the results when complete.

So BMW seems to have 2 different part numbers for the same piece unless there are real minute differences.

Makes sense with 2 part numbers, they are technically mirrored with felt facing opposite direction. Enjoy!
FYI-Use the shortest rivets you can find, I had interference issues when installing on the car because my rivets were too long.
