Was a member recently looking g for two of these. Not sure if it was member on another forum? This one is 10mm including the thickness of the head.

Isn't it for headlight (and not only) switch mounting on the dash or gearbox console?

I wouldn't know who asked for the part @Koopman; I have no recollection of a member asking for it.

@Krzysztof : Nop, the headlight and wiper switch are installed with a mushroom type screw, but they have only a straight slit, and not a cross slit.
Also the head seems to be a little small in diameter for it.

(and I learned that they are not anodized aluminium, but chromed brass.... the hard way... )

Could it be for different production year?

It looks like interior part, so the other option could be the radio face plate mounting nut

They are the decorative pieces behind the knobs on different switches.
