Good morning everyone. this morning I stumbled onto a Weldon piece in one of my parts boxes and am curious if anyone knows its place on the car.

I have one other question. are the rockers weld on or do they screw in place. I'm pretty sure I seen screws in what I had left of the old rockers, but am in sure.
Thank you and have an amazing day.

1) that piece attaches to the spare wheel tub at the back of your car
2) the inner rocker is welded, the outer rocker cover is screwed

the spare wheel tub was replaced by a previous Tech. does it go inside the trunk (spare wheel tub) or underneath? a picture would be a great help thank you.

A good way to figure this out would be to look at cars for sale From all the pictures taken, you should be able to see this BTW it fits on the outside at the back and bottom of the spare tire tub
THank but I think its a piece that is under trim and trunk liners, I have to images rite now and they are not that clear as where it goes, that's why I thought I would ask on this site.

It goes on the outside of the tub (exposed to road) facing the back. It is supposed to be a tow anchoring point

Look at your first image in your last post, identify the radian at the 6 o'clock position. The tab goes under the car and attached along that radian at the periphery where the wheel tub transitions from flat and starts curving up. The tow hole sticks directly out the back under/behind the fender. I am not sure what it is for as I would never use it to tow or pull anything.

It goes on the outside of the tub with the hole toward the rear of the car. Its purpose is to provide a place for a tow hook.

Here is a picture of my spare tire well before I repaired it. You can easily see the spot weld marks from attacking the hook below at about 45 degrees right of the rear radial line. I am no expert but positions might vary a little car to car. My hook was used or had been hit from below and you can see a bulge in the well next to the spot welds.

here it is, reattaching it on same place where i found it on my car, which looked original to me before disassembly. You can see the rust between the parts, which for me was the reason to remove & clean & reinstall it.
