parts problems...

Can´t help with the parts, but need to compliment on the work you do. Not only nice work, but a very good taste in cars in the first place. Not a boring or ugly one among them. Who gave you the list of my secret dream garage?

The rear bumper lights are the same as in Euro 2002s.
Not sure what you are referring to on the seat trim.

Jaymic have the rear number plate lights listed

I don't know if the seat trim has ever been available. I tried to buy some in the mid-80s and it was NLA then.

Unfortunately, it is pretty soft and easily scratched.

This is probably what you are looking for: http://cgi.ebay.de/BMW-E3-E9-2-5-3-...=39:1|66:2|65:1|240:1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

A set of chromed ring inserts usually goes for 40 to 50 US dollars in the German ebay auctions. I bought two sets from him recently and these are genuine Bmw NOS parts. His name is Stefan Ries and he is real nice guy to do business with. Stefan has a bunch of new NLA coupe parts especially interior trim parts. I also picked up a brand new NLA CSi gas tank fuel level sender (which is extremely hard to find, even used units) from him. You may email him directly @ [email protected] with your parts needs.

PS: There is an underscore_ after stefan on his email address which is covered by an underline in the message above.

In regards to the rear license plate light, I've seen some of the newer version and they look like the are made of a lighter grade of probably stainless steel rather the the chrome plated original ones. It just looks and feels inferior to the old chromed units.

This aluminum seat surround is still available at this US ebayer, not sure if it is just one or a set of twos. Real cheap though! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1974...2QQcategoryZ140732QQihZ004QQitemZ140209863240

BTW Jan, Great workmanship on your restorations.

Bert
