Any advice on replacing the small plastic bushing just to the right of the accelerator that terminates at the tranny tunnel ? Mine is dust.

Your pic shows just the brake and clutch pedals, but I know the bushing you speak of. I replaced mine with the pedal box still in the car. The usual (press in by tightenting bolt against oversize washers or socket) technique didn't work for me. As I recall I removed the bushing flange and glued the bushing OD to the bore ID with Goop adhesive. It's holding.
