pedal box, firewall insulation

I read that. I also read "This part is heavy."

I shipped a pair of Fiat bumpers from California to Michigan in a 60x30x8 inch wood crate that I made which weighed in at 80lbs, that cost $160 to ship Fed-Ex with $500 dollars insurance. Pedal box weighs in at about 10-12 lbs.

Its a good deal, I am even considering it.

Background on the shipping issue: I took these parts to the local UPS Store to get them packed professionally and get the shipping cost estimated based on the weight and size of box. My wife the shipping queen has now informed me that the UPS Store is the most expensive way to ship anything. (If you work for the UPS Store, that's just what she says.)

They packed the pedal box is a huge heavy cardboard box. Apparently it is an odd size for their usual boxes. I suspect the box and packing weigh more than the pedal box.

Anyway, I plan to take these parts directly to FedEx when they sell, to avoid the apparent surcharges at the UPS Store. And I'll plan to pack/ship the rest of my stash myself. No nefarious intent here.

Oddly enough, you might try the Post Office (USPS). I've had terrific luck with them, low cost and timely arrival
