Hello,

I´m an "old" member here...My e9 has been a sleeping beauty for a couple of years but now it is time to wake it up again. I got a lot of help from you guys when I swapped engine to a S38B36..But now it is back to "basics" with a M30B35 but with "banana-intake". With the S38 I had to take the brake booster from a 02 but now I want to use my original.

Could somebody please help me, if you look at the picture I attached, is this how the linkage to the brake booster should look? If you don´t know but know somebody I can ask please let me know..I have searched but not being able to find anything. Also, if anybody knows anyone in Europe that might have a complete pedal bracket for a manual 2.5 CS I´m interested in buying. Any support is welcomed. Thanks ;)

Hello, thank you so much for both pictures and the information..! I have another type if brake booster, I have the thinner but wider one. I don't know which serie but maybe you can tell? My car is a manual 2.5 CS and was built in June 1975. Sine I need to buy a "new" bracket I will for sure need that information. .

Thanks again! I have never seen mine before it was modified. The "tube" to the booster is "open" downwards. I guess that is the way it is suppose to be..

I have been searching of pictures of "my" booster, but hasn´t been able to find. Most have the thicker one..

But you really helped me a lot already.

Here I see the smaller type booster (pancake)

The open tube goes to the manifold. Vacuum side

Correct, it is "pancake" they are known as then I presume..

I meant the "tube" or pipe that connects the booster to the bracket, but I understood what you meant.

Ok, sorry my bad again. And if I understood the discussion in the link you sent open tube goes with pancake booster. So the one in the link you sent me should be the correct one.

But I don´t understand what from the open tube goes to the manifold, vacuum side?

Thank you, if you could take a photo of it or if somebody else has a photo of the rod that are supposed to connect to the pancake booster - all that would be perfect.

First step is figuring out what you have. Original bracket does not usually require modification to simply install a 2002 booster; presume a smaller diameter longer 2002tii booster would have been used. If it was shortened/repositioned/re-angled as well then different story. It is the tii booster that gets modified with longer rod.

I understand what you mean (I hope) but I want to find a "new" original bracket and attached to my original booster, which is the pancake model. So if you look at my first picture I guess the connection between the booster and the rod is not original?
