Hi all,

I would install an Ignitor unit on my 2800CS. I've installe dit on my '69 Alfa and I'm very satisfied so I want to repeat such experience. The problem is that, although I've searched the forum and I've seen that many have installed a Petronix on their 2800, I can't see any model for the 2800 on the Petronix catalog. Should I use the one for the 3.0?

Shows the 1867A as correct (fits 1974 Mustang or same period flat six), is it true?

Francesco

I think Ben at La Jolla has them for less than I saw at Advance Auto, 80-90 bucks or so. Same one for the 3.0 CS as the 2800. :-)

I got mine from LaJolla Independent, it fit perfectly, and works great. 1867 is the Pertronix # they recommend for early/carbureted e9's. See their webpage at: http://www.bimmerdoc.com/distributor-decipherer/.

Their price is $95. See their page at: http://www.bimmerdoc.com/parts-finder/bmw/pertronix-electronic-ignition-kit/

I think you meant Carl at La Jolla. Ben is someone else.
