I purchased Jonathan's spare coupe that was listed on here over the weekend. Dragged it on my trailer over to the BlownEuroz meet that I posted about (No other coupes in attendance sadly). Figured I'd toss a few photos up. I cleaned the car out but my jeep is full of parts. Planning on doing a Group 4 CSL clone as another track car along with my widebody 944 Turbo.

Is this key factory? Jonathan was telling me that he only had "1 key" and I thought nothing of it till I pulled it out of the ignition that night.... imagine my surprise!

In it's temporary resting place with my Datsun.

Anyway, hopefully I will become a regular contributer once I get a bit of time to finish up the last remaining bits on my Datsun and Porsche's and start on the e9.

Doesnt appear to be bad at all, far more solid than my Datsun was. I'm going to toss it on the lift this week after work, probably friday evening.

As for the key, yep, that's the good ol' Pebra-style key. It should actually come with three distinct keys: a valet key, which will open the doors, but not the trunk, a full key, which will open the doors and the trunk, and the ignition key, which is a very short, but regular style, key.

Well, it's your car. However, from the pictures you posted, the car looks fairly together - in my opinion, it would be a shame to strip it down and turn it into a racecar. There are SO many rough/incomplete coupes out there, while the supply of restorable cars is dwindling. Of course, you didn't show us what the interior looks like - if it is as rough as the underhood area, then maybe the racecar alternative makes more sense.

But, if you ignore my advice, can I have dibs on your front bumpers?

The color is agave. And I think a group 4 racer would look fantastic. The interior is pretty much stripped out so the cost to rebuild the interior would be plenty. The tin worm is plenty, believe me I had it up on the lift many times. But, the car is straight and based on the amount of work that Mike told me he did on his last restored car, he will clean this up and make it into a great track car. I'm looking forward to seeing his finished effort which he said he wants finished by next year...

Jonathan
