I am planning on changing the rear trailing arm and sway bar bushings and the subframe mounts as part of my restoration. I usually use BMW/Lemforder etc for this but the prices are similar to black poly parts from Ireland Engineering which are also easier to put in. I also have that little hairline crack behind the differential that runs through the hole for the gas line which I reinforced.

Main concern is stiffness when combined with Bilsteins in ride but also rigidity which will translate through subframe mounts . Comments appreciated.

I used BMW trailing arm bushings and the solid rubber subframe bushings from Walloch and Ness. I did not want to go to poly; was concerned about moving the stresses into the body of my car.

Wheels and tires make a huge difference in this equation. I am running 15s, which are stiffer than the stock 14s, but softer than the 16s most people run.

What is the cars purpose?

Comfy Cruiser or wicked carving tool?

Been running poly "everywhere" for 10+ years (IE products).....ultimate results are total sum of the parts...

I prefer the carving tool but I got Ma roads to contend with. If I lived somewhere else, the decision would be easy.
