35k for a barn find - Couldn't you get a nicer air cooled targa for that price? Still a cool car to have:

It's a real 914-6. If that case is the original 2L case then it's worth it as it looks relatively rust free which is the major 914 killer. Restored they are 100k plus cars depending on the details, colors etc...

And a nice SC Targa in a decent color is probably 45k plus...

after my Detomaso Pantera ( sold ) i would never buy a mid engine car again.
You can see the engine but hardly reach it.
Maintance was a PITA.

I found a way to fix that on my 914 builds... :p

sorry , i don't get it.... think you made it just more difficult :D

PS nice swaps.... but that would be here in Europe in no way road legal anymore.

Time for your 914 update please?
Hi Chris - The best way to know what's up is (please?) subscribe to my YouTube channel: At The Red Barn. It covers all the shenanigans happening here with both 914s and RacerBenz, a CL 500 that's getting C5 'vette suspension, mid-engine LS power and center seating. Now you see why I sold my E9. I can't be trusted with nice things...!

As a teaser, LS3 914 Episode 1 gives you an overview intro to the build in its current state - and you get to watch Randy Pobst drive it at an auto-cross at Sonoma Raceway.
