positive battery cable

i have a new positive battery cable, one of the many listed in the orange book - it is listed for the 3.0cs (usa). part no. 61 12 1 355 434. my question is what does the hooded eye connection go to on the 3.0cs? it leaves the starter end. sorry for the fuzzy part no. in the pic ... but the hooded end is the important part of the discussion

the battery cable on my 2800cs is just a straight cable from the starter to the battery.

that makes sense ... on the 2800cs it goes directly from the battery to the alternator
