Is the only way to post pictures on the forum via Snap, Photobucket, etc?

I upload from my desktop but you may have to downsize them, it won't take mega-pics.
For high resolution pictures yes, otherwise you can upload thumb-nail pics from your computer's hard drive. Usually, uploading pics from your computer lack certain sharpness and details due to their small size.
Downsizing
Explain please, I have my pictures in Picasa.

For Picasa photo posting:
1. Upload photo to Picasa
2. Click on the photo, then click on "link to this photo" link on right of page (brings up more choices)
3. Select desired insert size using the drop down selection box (thumbnail, small, or large)
4. Click on the "Image only (no link)" checkbox
5. Copy the entire contents of the "Embed image" text box
6. Click on the insert photo icon from the message tools (looks like this:
) and a text window will appear
7. Insert the copied text from the Picasa site into the text window in the insert picture popup
Done!
