Power steering pump question

Another pump question. My steering pump is the oldest style. It has a big snap ring on the backside of the pump and - the pump is obviously leaking. The leak is not all that critical (couple of drops on the floor) but the leak does not appear to be getting better! Short or benching the pump and possibly rebuilding it with new seals or even replacing it, has anyone ever tried any of the "miracle fixes" (i.e., "stop leak") usually targeted toward automatic transmissions? I have little faith in these products except possibly as a temporary fix.

Anyone have anything positive to say about these products other than they reduce the size of one's wallet? Any thoughts about the pump leak?
