Pre-reunion Race Report

Our Pre-reunion race with Luigi ended in frustration. I was gridded 6th behind several 935, and 934 P cars, a big block Corvette, and an RSR. I got a great start and passed the RSR around the outside of Turn 2 and was running in 5th. On lap 2 I was passed by a 935 on the straight, but when I went to downshift for Turn 2 the throttle cable broke and my race was done.

The 2002 was in the FIA Championship group with a bunch of 2 liter sports racers, GT 40 Fords, some 908 and 910 Porsche’s, and 3 others sedans. I finished 12 th overall and 1st among the sedans despite having my tires fall off a cliff about 1/2 way through the race.

Looking forward to next weekend.

I'm sure by the time I saw this, I bet, Luigi has already been fixed. That 2002 looks like a lot of fun. Sorry I'm not out there this year. Hope any troubles a phew!

It was great meeting you at Carmel today and checking out your very special 2002tii. Sorry about the broken throttle cable on Luigi.
 
Luigi was out on track today, looked like a fun battle with the Grp44 TR8.

Goodwood's Youtube channel live coverage is handy while stuck at work ;)

 
Dropped by your pit on Wed and looked the cars over. Looked fantastic. Bummer about the throttle cable but at least it was straight forward to fix. Good luck this weekend.
