Yeah but ...

very nice combination. thats a strong price for a 15 year old resto. must have been a thorough one.

It does look like one of the best I've seen from Coupe King. Very pretty. If I could pick one nit, look closely at the interior shot (the one with the heat barrier). Doesn't it give the appearance that the interior sheet metal was left a bit grotty when they started putting it all back together? If you're going to do a full restoration and color change, why not spend a little bit extra and do a good job on the surfaces normally not visible?

Yeah, I am surprised they included a shot of Dynamat over rusty floor.

Noted that firewall insulation and drain hoses are missing--maybe yet to be installed.

Question--with headers of the type installed--can there be heat baffles in place to minimize the extreme heat soak generated around wiring and within the engine compartment? If not perhaps a ceramic coating would help.

BTW--concern of rust being covered up by dynamat is groundless as I can assure you that CoupeKing and his team are fastidious in dealing with even minor rust issues.

What I'm hearing is back East folks who have rust everywhere assume it is also prevalent here in SoCal. Having survived the rust belt of Northern Missouri until graduating from University, Navy at sea for nearly 4 years, Detroit for 11years and New Jersey for 3 more I am intimately familiar with rust and corrosion. It simply doesn't grow here like you assume. I also speak with nearly 40 years of E-9 care and preservation.

wow 48.000? give me that money and i restore my coupe to that level
and keep some nice profit :)

Price doesn't surprise me at all. Last Fall I was offered over $60k for for my E9 restored by Coupe King. They are the best.

I am presently going through the process of repainting/restoring my coupe.

All I can say is that I was quite surprised on what was uncovered and more surprised by the amount (layers) of paint which was discovered during the recent refurbishment of my coupe (2001 coupeking car).

Anyone looking at this car or any other "restored" coupe, particularly at this price level, should ask for a complete photo documentation of the restoration process.

Just my $.02 which will probably save you a whole lot of money down the road!!!!
