This was a gorgeous model when completed. I had a professor friend when I was a grad student who built one of these 1/8 scale models. He had a '62 Lotus Elan as his driver, and they were nearly the same size!! - ha. When he relocated to a distant job, he gave the model to me. Somehow through about 5 re-locations, it disappeared. If you, like Enzo F. and me think this was the most beautifully designed (relatively affordable) car of the last 70 years (e9 close for me), then this would be a great project for winter of 21/22.

I have an old photo of a Christmas day, back when I was 10, holding a model kit of a Jaguar XKE, a lovely primrose example on the box cover. Always thought I should have owned a real one of these, but sadly there is only a story of the one that got away.
