so the time has come, it is four years since the last inspection and must do it again
so after an oil change i checked the engine, new spark plugs

very good looking iridium plugs, a bit black burned is too rich, so that for the synchro

first chnge the plugs, i have done this several times, what works for me is;

-remove the old plugs, number 6 is a bit difficult
-clean the threads using a nylon cilindric brush with gasoline, leave it to dry or blow compressed air
-prepare new plugs, add nothing to the thread
-get the ultra revolutionaly tool to introduce each plug by hand, a garden water hose will do the trick, it will save your life and the threads of the cyl head, if the threads are clean you will find how easy is to introduce each plug by hand

-put the tip of the plug in the hose, then place it in its place and start turning anticlock wise until you feel the bump ot the starting point of the thread, now you can start clock wise
-finally use your torque tool and set it at 28N.m

Nice write up, but I have a small question please. What do you mean when you talk about using a piece of garden hose to insert the plugs as it will save your life as well as your threads? I can see why it will save your threads but why “your life”?

well apologies for making it more into the suspense, yes, your life will become miserable, because you will realize that you screwed it up, and now remove the thread and send it for repairs, spend some good money that you had saved to bring your wife in the coupe to that nice restaurant for her birthday, she will be so unhappy that who knows what she will decide to do, hence your life will be at risk for not using that humble hose

Ok, now I see. I thought is this something to do with cutting up your fingers, hydrocarbons etc, not upset partners

a digresion on the hand brake adjustment

you know what the manual says:

image uploaders

but they say nothing about if it is up or down for more brake pressure

i di this video when i put new rear disks

i was expecting up on one side and down in the other, but forun that both sides requeire up for closing the jaws so increase pressure

as the part that does the trick is reversible, do you think it has been wrongly installed in my car or all your cars do the same ?

my case:
