hi everyone,

i mounted my alpina 16" on my e9 but i have a little problem, on my front wheels the sides of the types are +10mm from the fenders borders and rear wheels -20mm from the fenders borders so the look is strange.

My front wheels are 7x16 with 215/50 tyres and rear 8x16 with 225/50 tyres.

Anyone of you had same problem with these wheels ?

thank you

check the offset on each pair? Search function should tell you what the preferred offset should be on fronts and backs.

Very nice looking coupe. I had not seen a black csl style stripe on a dark colored car before. Makes me think it might look well on my Baikal, should I ever get it painted properly.

for what it's worth the coupeking reproduction Alpine 16" wheels are ET11 in front and ET 24 for the rear as staggered wheel since the E9 factory rear tracks are about an inch narrower than front. So for the Combination above the tires Recomended are :
205/55/16 front and 225/50/16 for E9 staggered wheel.

yep- 11 and 24 is standard... more front camber, rolled fenders lips and lower would change the look up front

Yes that is how 16" Alpinas look on an unmodified car.
The standard car came with 14x6 wheels, when they fitted the 14x7 wheels on the CSl they fitted the chromed extension to keep the tread inside the body.

yes if i well remember the front wheels are ET11 and ET24 for rear wheels, i just fund these solution to reduce the problems:

- change the tyres by 205/55 r16 for front wheels
- place 20mm wheel spacers for rear wheels

another more radical solution for front wheels should be remachine them to reduce the hub of 10mm

Your wheels look fine. I have these wheels for my car also. It is the nature of the E9 that the rear wheels sit further in than the front. While the Alpinas are staggered, the higher offset of the rear keeps them both at the same relative distance from the hub. Therefore the only way to overcome this is by running spacers or getting wheels with a lower offset at the rear to bring them out.

225 x 60 x 14 front and back. No change in camber but fender lips have been rolled

its amazing that they fit, the tread width is 7.6" and the overall width is 9" the 225/50-15" has similar tread width and overall width ... the 205/55-16 has a tread width of around 7" and an overall width of 8.5"
