Dear BMW E9 fans,

I’d like to start this post and give some insight into two BMW E9 projects that are currently in our care and will become available on the market. One of them is very special.

After the closure of our workshop in the Netherlands, two of my personal BMW E9 CSi cars have moved to Germany, where they are now located at the facilities of Scuderia Sportiva Colonia, under the guidance of Wolf von Massow, a name many of you will already know and respect.

- one finished in Inka Orange, most likely the best documentated CSI in the world.

- one finished in Fjord Blue.

In this post I would like to focus on the special Inka one and give your some more background information:

This car is documented beyond any doubt as being originally delivered in Inka Orange. According to our research, it is one of only 11 BMW E9s ever delivered in this color.

What makes this car so special is the bulletproof documentation that comes with it: original correspondence between the first owner and BMW, original invoices, and a fully traceable history that proves 100% that this car left the factory in Inka Orange. I discovered this car over 10 years ago and have kept it in private ownership ever since. The body was restored down to bare metal and completely rebuilt. It would not be an exaggeration to say that this may well be one of the best-documented BMW E9 CSi in existence, possibly the best-documented one worldwide. When I found the car by coincedence I couldn't believe my eyes...

This car is, quite literally, an 'Einzelstück'.

That it will become available to the market makes this a very rare opportunity to acquire not just an exceptional E9, but a car with a story, provenance, and documentation that are almost never seen together.

Planned specification (subject to final tuning and testing and new owners wishes):

- Original CSi engine block

- Upgraded pistons and revised cylinder head for increased displacement / breathing

- Target output: approx. 240 hp, with emphasis on drivability and longevity

- 5-speed gearbox

- Recaro seats

- Optional air conditioning

- 16-inch Alpina-style wheels

- KW Variant suspension, tuned specifically for the E9 chassis

- Nut and bolt and bare metal restoration

We chosed for this upgrade to for more spirited driving without compromising to much of the original execution and its soul.

All work is carried out by the team of Scuderia Sportiva Colonia, whose standard of craftsmanship, especially on BMW classics, is exceptionally high.

In this thread I'd like to share this journey and share more of its unique history, please contact me directly if you have serious interest. I'm happy to share my journey with this car over the past 10 years and I hope you will be just as exited as I am. I share now some pictures of the current state and I will post many more.
