After two years of hunting for a set of the locking wheel caps for my Alpinas, I finally found a set of four in England for a mere 133 pounds sterling.
The problem is they just don't go on! Do I need to change to studs instead of nuts?? Or do I need to get lug nuts without the chrome cap??
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Don

ps.- here is a pic of the caps:

Generally, wheels with caps require open lugs. You can find suitable ones (12mm x 1.50 thread) at almost any auto parts store. I was in an Auto Zone a couple weeks ago looking for some valve stem caps and noticed they have them.

Thanks Tony... Sounds easier than changing hubs or

pulling 20 studs for shorter ones.

I know the lug hole is a different diameter, but i suppose the diameter where the cap fits will be the same. How do they lock to the rim?

There are flanges that get positioned first and then the key turns a metal tab to lock in the last side.
