I have a friend who owns a Baur Targa and he wants to sell it to me. It comes with allot of sheet metal, which it needs, and has installed a tii engine. Just wondering if there are some opinions as to the value of the car. I know he has a little over 10K in parts (which includes the car) invested over a 20 year period. I will try to get more details and post as I can but thought I would ask in advance.

Does it run?

Parts put into a car to get or keep it running are not "invested", they are "sunk cost". If the guy is a friend, you can have a friendly discussion about his expectations and how much he wants you to have it versus a higher, outside bidder.

I'd start at 500 bucks, sight unseen, but that's just me. It has worked before.
