We lost another of our Giants in the music world today. Seems to be happening all too often, but Quincy Jones passed away at the age of 91. I must say his influence on my taste and appreciation of Jazz and later Smooth Jazz is enormous. I am very grateful. it lead to a chance meeting with Herbie Hancock in Montreal when I was too young to order alcohol at the Jazz Bar, but stayed for all 3 sets and was hooked on Jazz for life! Even had a conversation that I will remember forever.
