Let the paint and rust removal begin.

Great fun ahead.
Bespoke ( fancy word to journalist like to use) holes in chassis for lighter weight.
These holes will save lots of time in the build process of keeping the car’s weight in check.
Seriously, working to fix the compromised floor pan is going to be expensive.

Strut was glass blasted and now is in the paint process.

Rear subframe was glass blasted and is ready for paint.
Fresh blasted front suspension.
Rear trailing arm is next for painting.
Backing plate and parking brake removed and sent to the trash.
Front subframe paint in process.

Looking good! So no tube frame?
Not sure just yet, one guy sees too much rust, another says workable ( but he is removed from the business of welding race cars.)
Time (and $$$ ) will tell. Stock BMW components will be less expensive. ( Right?)
