Hi guys, does anyone know whether I can split this radio and what looks like an amp? It seems the power can only go to the amp and it also has the speaker line outs.

When I bought it I assumed I could split it. Its a blaupunkt Koln.

Any ideas?

Hi 30csl,

Whats your intention with this radio first of all?

Listening to Olympics results or just playing music?

Speakers in the car?

Cheers!
Stefan

Just low quality radio listening! I have two speakers in the rear shelf and a roof mounted aerial but have never had a radio fitted.

Speakers in rear shelf and roof mounted aerial!

Sorry, I can't help you any further!

Normally you use old radios like cosmetics.

that's

it's power unit. Can't make out the face to tell you what year. ( green) Sometime early 70's or so radios went transistors and that power unit went away.

It may be possible to place the power unit remote ( as done in a Porsche with a front boot. It's gonna be hard in a coupe. I know it would never work in an a/c car.

Depending upon the model unit, a Porsche guy might pay good money.

Ha Stefan, holes existed in the rear shelf and roof mounted aerial is better than the front or rear wing!
Porsche, sounds like I will try and fit it as is, I do not have AC so should have room.
It weighs a lot!
It's a Blaupunkt Koln,
