Some things I wanted to finish on the E3 before selling. Painting the air cleaner housing and thought I'd share.

I used Northstar single stage RAL 7043. Looks pretty darn close to original.

7043 is for me the restoration standard colour for this type airbox. Has been on the forum before.

glad to see that people actually look at the FAQ and the work that several people put together to help everybody

Made it a point to take pics

of original gray green paint today…

If you live in SF Bay Area you can have West Coast Powercoat, 650-871-0400, power coat for $100. They are in South San Francisco.

I thought it wa interesting- usually black?
popular topic of differing opinion. depends on who you talk to. i have seen Werk shop paint stuff the dark gray green, i have seen others paint black. my opinion is to match it with what looks best with the car color.

I had mine done twice, having picked the wrong color but frankly, I think Stevehose nailed it with the RAL 6015 as my original struts are still a little more green than the 7022 I had the front subframe done in. It's only money.

My struts and subframes were originally green front and back
