Wish I could come over the hill to join in the festivities. But family, and the mntn do not allow it this time of year.
Instead I will ski and have a leisurely day.
I wish you great weather. And for us high altitude people, shorts are easily wearable in almost any lowland California weather.

date change?

HoWdy folks,

of course, I got a possible date change....sorry. Team politics.......

how does the Jan 17th work for everyone?

-shanon

I am 60/40 in. Will update.
Do I need to rejet the Webers to climb Monte Diabolo?
Do I need a passport in case we end up in the swiss Alps?

the 17th works

Just took delivery of my Polaris '72 CSi from Coupe King and would love to join you. My son may tag along in the Manila '02 tii. On the other hand, he may want to drive the Csi in which case I will be in the '02!

Now more than ever, why I moved from San Franciso to Hoth is even a bigger question...

Have a great time Gentlemen, and love the poster!

ATTENTION!! MONTE Saturday is the 16th..sorry gang!!!

DOH!!

The 'Monte' Saturday is the 16th.............!! my bad

plan on meeting in Walnut Creek at .........'High Noon'
should end in Crockett area about 4pm ...ish

about 80 miles total

Just got back from a 'recce' this morning of the new route and it is spectacular!!

I will need folks to chime in so I know how many 'route books' to make.

Times are hard this year, so I will ask for a $5 'Monte' donation to cover route book printing.

Participants will also need $8 for the Mt. Diablo State Park entry fee.

Stayed tuned!

Count us in for 2 (one Coupe and one '02). I may lose my son at the last minute to "teenage-itus" but I should still be able to make it.

Head count needed.

Howdy Coupers,

OK, gonna need a firm head count soon. Please chime in here ASAP.
I know your out there...

BTW: All ages welcome and ALL Roads are PAVED!!
(I hope the old Monte pics with snow & dirt didn't spook ya, just some motivational auto-erotica to get ya in the mood)

So if your coupe is on blocks, on a boat, or just broken, just "run what ya brung", and polish up your tall tale of why you didn't bring it.

This event is a low-key,fun run to bring Bay Area 'Coupedom' together for some laughs and adventure.

Suggested items to bring: clip board, camera, binoculars, snacks, a coat (PJ has to drive naked if he's in the M this year...;-) and whatever else ya need for a 'grand day out'.

Looking forward to seeing ya'll.......at "High Noon" Saturday. Rally (about 80 miles) should end in the Crocket area between 3-4pm for those who drive in 'glass' Piloti's.

;-)

your humble rally poo-bah

Shannon: I will be there. Doubt I can get my son out of bed in time, but if so he will tag along inthe '02. Where exactly are we meeting in Walnut Creek?

Co-ordinates

Hi BJ and all,

Meet location is on Ygnacio Valley Blvd off Hwy 24.
More details soon!

Start location

OK Coupers,

My rain (lap?) dance for Mother Nature seems to have had some effect in that she is holding off the big rains for Sunday and next week. I think she knows not to mess with 'Il Diablo'...

weather updates:
http://www.ktvu.com/wxmap/2193919/detail.html

Meet location in Walnut Creek is Heather Farms Park off N. San Carlos Drive on Ygnacio Valley Blvd off Hwy 24 at "High Noon". I'm easy to spot.

Again, lurkers chime in if you haven't so I print enough route books Friday (I had some fun with it).

Good times a cometh!
