I have a contact that is looking for rare and exclusive BMW cars from the 50s, 60s, 70s. Cost no object for the right car. CSL, M1, 507 and race history particularly wanted. Let me know if you have something you want to sell and I'll put them in touch with you.

Thanks. My friend scours the internet and auctions pretty closely. He's hoping to find great and special cars that are not widely advertised. Not to get a bargain but to just have first chance before they sell privately. We all know most special cars trade this way.

Agreed... and much less drama.

Good luck- Richard

Is that person single?

rare and expensive

ccr2002, Just as soon as your friend has has completed the acquisition trail I would like to put myself forward for adoption by him/her. Best, John.

I could sell him a not-so-rare car for allot of money :), sorry the Polaris coupe is not finished, from what someone said it's the second to last 2800 produced? Does that make it rare? if the last is no longer with us then this would be the latest 2800 produced in existence :) And, with the exception of the suspension and a couple pieces of leather it's all "original".

Sorry- didn't mean to sound like a jerk-

3200cs rm paris

Andrew......thanks for the link. A no sale with a low range of 115k euro....a bit of a surprise it didn't go. $183k for the 20k mile z8...I imagine that seller is happy. brian

now, back to the rare AND expensive

I think we know this one... at the pinnacle of "rare and expensive". This is where we find out how serious we are.

I had no clue one could even ask that price for a GT2.

well perhaps for a 993. not so much for a 997 ... a few years ago there was one for sale here in ATL for 175k. currently no gt2's for sale thru any PCNA dealer. plenty of GT3's (17) 1 GT3 RS
