Rare barn find auto CS

That tire shot is amazing. That is the worst looking tire I have ever seen on a vehicle.

MAYBE $400 max for the wheels, delivered! $50 for the 'maybe restorable' steering wheel. Then pay the wrecking yard to take the rest away! I'll bet the tire Ohmess loves could be purchased outright as well.

Ambitious price for someone who wants an ambitions project.

$1000 max I see there. Would take probably $30k just in body work alone I would think.

Other than the wheels, I'm not seeing much there with value. Am I missing anything significant?

Given the amount of pine needles in the car, I would guess that if it was ever in a barn, that was some time ago.

I think it was a slip of the finger for "barn find", which should have been "farm find". The other finger slip was the number of zeros after the 5 LOL... Mind you, if this guy saw that other "fresh from the barn" car for 18k, this seller must feel like they are giving it away....

Big news everyone... price drop: Only $4000 now for this fine example.

Excerpt from the listing:
“MANY RARE USABLE PARTS AND PANELS, SOME RUST THROUGHOUT THE CAR BUT PANELS ARE SOLID WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FLOOR PANELS AND ROOF EDGE NEAR FRONT WINDSHIELD. THE (4) ORIGINAL PERIOD CORRECT ALPINA WHEELS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE TO EASILY BE REFINISHED.”

It didn't sell at $5,000. It didn't sell at $4,000. Just relisted for $5,250. The value is evidently back on the up turn for this "as-is" sans drivetrain. I really don't see enough value to in the few parts to cover the cost of gathering them off the dirt and onto a trailer/truck.
